Bromyard Town Policing

From our local Police Team
A busy month with some considerable success.  Warrants executed at properties led to the recovery of a considerable and very valuable haul of tractors and power tools. Drugs and clothing goods have also been seized with the total of property recovered standing at over twenty thousand pounds. Arrests for offences of burglary x1 assaults x5 Fraud x1 as well as thefts have kept us busy.

Unfortunately we have also spent large parts of our working day dealing with accidents. The weather and now the darker evenings have seen some really nasty collisions which has seen roads closed for many hours whilst in depth investigations take place. It can be very annoying when the road you are travelling on is closed and police vehicles block the way. We do not close roads lightly and it does take Amey some time to put diversion boards in place so please be patient. I am sorry to report that motorists seem to blame the police for the fact that there has been an accident and that the road is closed. One of our staff was subjected to fearful abuse by one driver and it is not uncommon for people to be rude and aggressive when the road is closed. This is a situation I will tolerate no longer.

On a lighter note the Halloween evening passed with very few incidents helped no doubt by the fact that Pc Rain was on duty to assist Sue and I in keeping the trick or treat merchants in line. Thanks for the support from bromyard.info, we do appreciate it.
