Conquest Chat WE'RE NOMINATED (and we hope it's catching...)!! In April we're off to Sutton Coldfield to the AGM, Supper & Awards Ceremony of NODA (the National Operatic and Dramatic Assoc) to be presented with 2 nomination certificates for 'Best Production 2009' (West Midlands). Who knows, we might even win, but we're delighted to have received our nominations regardless.

Here in Moreton Wood, Ullingswick we have been hard at work harvesting beanpoles and pea sticks for gardeners in Herefordshire, but the work will end with a big celebration of National Beanpole Week on Sunday 25th April 2010.

110-mile walk for Bromyard pupils |

A GROUP of students from Bromyard’s Queen Elizabeth school will undertake a gruelling 110-mile walk this summer in aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice. Members of the public are now being invited log on to justgiving.com/QEHC - click here -and give generously ahead of the mammoth task in August.

HOPE FAMILY and community centre in Bromyard will welcome the Countess of Wessex (pictured) next week. The Centre, in Pannier’s Lane, is on the cusp of a major expansion programme which will see it double in size over the next year.

Royal Visit: Reaction from the Mayor |

It is fitting that the hard work of the Hope Charity trustees and members of staff will be recognised by a Royal visit. The only other Royal visit to Bromyard I can remember was about 30 years ago when Princess Margaret swept through the town in a car on her way to a Sunday morning church service.
