Bromyard’s Spring Festival of Poetry and Literature culminated in a “Literary Luncheon” at the Falcon today, Sunday 30th May. It was well supported with over 60 people representing a wide cross section of Bromyard society sitting down to an excellent (goes without saying) meal at the Falcon Hotel.

Today (22nd May) at 17.05, a Red Kite was seen circling over the Lower Thorn area of Bromyard town. It was positively identified by an experienced observer. Red kites have been seen occasionally in the area before. Sightings are becoming more common as red kites spread from their Welsh strongholds and at least one pair is nesting in the county. (Any other sightings? Let us know!)
