Sorry but I cannot be there. My thoughts, though, will be with his family and all those attending.

I will miss seeing John around town with his distinctive
yellow jacket.He was a `land mark`as well as a character.
My condolences to his family.

I was very sorry to hear about John. I had quite a bit to do with him when we were changing the Town Council car park from a so-called "free" car park into a Pay & Display. I know he thoroughly enjoyed his job, looking after the car park, and he was an excellent ambassador for the town, always taking time to talk to visitors who weren't familiar with Bromyard, and even telling them the odd joke!

I'm very sorry to hear of John's passing. He was, as Bernard says, always there -- quietly loyal to all of us. Sincere condolences to his family.
