H.O.P.E. Centre on TV

hope-itvThe H.O.P.E. Centre was featured on ITV Central News on 29/12. The programme was presented by Wesley Smith who recalled how he presented the cheque for £50,000 in 2006 on behalf of ITV. He was amazed to see the progress that had been made since then and spoke with some of the people whose lives had been transformed by the support they had received.

H.O.P.E. Stands for Holistic Opportunities for Play and Education. (registered charity 1077336

Sheenagh Davis Chief Executive Officer for H.O.P.E stressed the need for the work carried out at H.O.P.E was greater than ever.  She explained how the Centre was now providing a much wider range of supportive services including vocational training.  For instance hairdressing which also provides income for the charity. It was really all about neighbourliness and bringing people in to provide support and end isolation. The programme showed how the Adult Literacy classes were so important.  H.O.P.E is going from strength to strength and Bromyard owes a great deal to the drive and initiative of Sheenagh Davis and her team.

An excellent insight into the work of HOPE. Well done, Sheena, for presenting such a clear record of your work - a great advert for the caring nature of Bromyard, too.
