HEREFORDSHIRE'S Starlight Express Quadrille team are looking to build on their success with another good year in 2010.  The Bromyard and District Riding Club team travelled to Olympia and finished a highly creditable third at the London International Horse Show.

But their result might have been even better, as lead rider Sarah Sneyd acknowledged.

"Eighty per cent of the quadrille performance was fabulous and then my horse Gizmo saw himself on the cube TV screen above the Olympia arena," she said.

"He planted himself and was mesmerised.

"The others did brilliantly and continued without their lead rider and did us proud."

Now the team, who want to thank Bromyard and District Riding Club, Vale of Arrow Riding Club and South Shropshire Riding Club for their support, are setting their sights on a bid for the top prize in 2010.

"We need riders, main and spare, horses, ground crew and fundraisers," said Sneyd.

Anyone interested in joining in should go along to King's Equestrian Centre in Bromyard (formerly the Bromyard Equestrian Centre) on Saturday, from 7-9pm, for an explanatory meeting.

There will then be mounted auditions at King's EC on February 13 from 3-6pm.
