THE chance to play a part in Bromyard’s future will be offered to members of the public next month. Anyone interested in shaping policy including housing, policing and car parking over the next few years is invited to join a committee tasked with implementing the Market Town Plan.
Â
The plan was devised by members of the public and town councillor Gill Churchill and essentially creates a set of aims for the town.
Cllr Churchill said: “We have all the objectives, now we just need a committee to look at them and sort them out.
“Somebody with an interest in housing can look at the housing objectives or, for instance, policing or car parking, “It came out of the town plan with people saying they could not influence what’s going on in Bromyard and this is the way they can influence not only the town council but Herefordshire Council as well.â€
An initial meeting on January 14 coincided with heavy snow and cllr Churchill is hopeful more people will attend the town’s Public Hall on Thursday February 18, from 7.30pm.
For more information about the meeting or what you can do to help implement the plan call cllr Churchill on              01885 490330         or email
