THE Conquest Theatre in Bromyard is promising “a cracking new season”, with highlights including Mark Little (Joe Mangel in Neighbours) in a pre-West End show, Defending the Caveman, a worldwide hit and the longest running solo play in Broadway history.
Defending the Caveman, on Friday and Saturday, January 29 and 30, is a hilariously funny but horribly truthful show which affectionately brings the basic differences between men and women up to date.
Saturday, February 6, sees Dave Sealey’s show, The Cheeky Chappie, all about the career, contemporaries, critics and saucy seaside postcard world of the legendary Max Miller.
Also next month, on Tuesday, February 9, is world renowned Joe Power, The Man Who Sees Dead People and who famously brought forward the voice of John Lennon on a US television show.
The brilliant Henry Blofeld arrives on stage for An Evening with Blowers: Caught Short and Grumpy, on Thursday, March 11, a night of anecdotes and humour.
Other forthcoming presentations include The Beggars Opera on Saturday, March 13, a world premiere of Father Goose from March 24 to 27, and a welcome return of nine-piece blues band, The Tribe.
Looking ahead to April 30, Pentabus Theatre presents its adaptation of Tales of the Country by Independent columnist Brian Viner, who moved from London to Docklow.
