After discussion the Committee recommend to Council that this be carried out but only after other more urgent works such as lighting and decorating have been completed.

  1. f) Riverside Walk and Picnic Area

The Broadbridge Working Party has now turned its attention to the drainage of  the part of the field near to the embankment and has obtained quotations for   these works to be carried out.

Council is asked to approve;

a)   the acceptance of the lowest of the quotations in the sum of   £1733, towards which they can contribute £1200 from their  budget

b) That Council approve the Admin & Finance Committee recommendation that the shortfall of £500 be taken from       Reserves.

It is hoped that carrying out these works will go some way to alleviating the boggy area proposed to be used as a car park at a later date.
